Tarquin Bennett-Coles
Tarquin came into life science recruitment to make a difference and has had a high-profile career in life science search. His NFP, Charity and NGO search experience includes C-Suite level appointments including the CEO at Norwich Research Park, the COO and Business Development and Membership Director at the BioIndustry Association (BIA), the CEO, Executive Director Vaccine Development and Head of Regulatory Affairs for the Coalition of Epidemic Preparedness Innovation (CEPI), Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation Director for the John Innes Centre, Senior Enterprise Portfolio Manager with THIS Institute, Head of Research Data and Technology at NIHR BioResource and Head of Innovation for Bruntwood SciTech. He has also actively raised funds for Beacon for Rare Diseases, Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre, British Hearth Foundation, Teenage Cancer Trust, Samaritans and the Terence Higgins Trust.
He is an advocate for the sector and is a pro bono careers guide for the Executive MBA students at the Cambridge Judge Business School and for 14 years, he lectured and mentored Cambridge University Master’s programme postgraduates on the MBE and Therapeutic Sciences courses. He is a trained STEM and SIP (Science Industry Partnership) Ambassador and for the last five years has been a mentor for the Homerton Changemakers programme. He is an advisor to Little Bean Journey, a charity that helps companies provide fertility information and support as part of their benefits structure. He is a volunteer for Form the Future, a charity supporting children considering STEM careers and he has given blood over 90 times with the target of a century in his sights.
Jane Spillman
Jane’s expertise lies in identifying and attracting exceptional talent for the pharmaceutical and life science industries. She has considerable experience working across a wide range of organisations, from start-ups and early stage biotechs to major global pharma companies, medical research organisations and not-for-profits. She has hired across a range of AMRC organisations and most notably The Brain Tumour Charity.

Dafydd Wright
Dafydd is a highly regarded expert in life science search and interim management appointments. In the third sector, Dafydd has hired for a range of NFP, charity and government backed organisations including MRC Technologies (now LifeArc), Innovate UK, Porton Down (now Porton Biopharma), Public Health England, Agrimetrics and GPAS – a recent Oxford based NFP. For nine years, Dafydd has been a Trustee of the medical research charity RAFT, participating in and leading the renumerations and nominations committee. The importance of good and effective governance is one of the founding tenets of SCi Partners.
Paul Edwards MBE
Paul has had an illustrious career in life sciences, continuing to work on new scientific ideas whilst building highly successful companies. In 1994, as Chairman of the UK BioIndustry Association’s Manufacturing Advisory Committee, Paul championed the need to build a sustainable biomanufacturing infrastructure in the UK. In 1997, Paul’s role as industry advisor, combined with his heavyweight scientific and executive career, led to an MBE for services to biotechnology. In 1999 he was the recipient of the IChemE Donald Medal, awarded for service to the biochemical engineering sector. He is also a Non-Executive Director of the Oxford Bio Network (OBN), the UK’s leading life science membership organisation.
